Will we see a counselor at MarriageRestored?
A MarriageRestored weekend is not a counseling session, marriage clinic or a sensitivity group.
MarriageRestored is not equipped to deal with specialized situations such as PTSD, physical abuse, drug or alcohol abuse.
Is MarriageRestored right for us?
MarriageRestored is designed for couples who are:
- Concerned about the ability of their marriage to survive
- Increasingly distant from their partner
- Increasingly hurt and angry with each other
- Dealing with the effects of infidelity or life-controlling habits (substance abuse, compulsive gambling, pornography, etc.)
- Considering separation or divorce
If any of these describes your marriage, we believe that MarriageRestored can help.
As an Assemblies of God organization, AG MarriageRestored adheres to the denomination’s
standing rooted in Biblical doctrine that marriage is between one man and one woman (Genesis 2, Matthew 19).
Who conducts MarriageRestored weekends?
Each MarriageRestored weekend is conducted by two or three couples who have made it past the crises that threatened to destroy their marriages and who are dedicated to helping other couples do the same. Presenting couples are carefully chosen and thoroughly trained by MarriageRestored.
What happens at a MarriageRestored weekend?
Sessions begin Friday evening and run through Sunday afternoon. At each session a husband and wife team give an informal talk on various aspects of married life. Time is set aside following each presentation for couples to discuss privately, away from the group, their relationship as it relates to the topic presented.
What is the cost?
A non-refundable registration fee of $75 is required to secure a reservation. MarriageRestored is entirely self-supporting. At the close of the weekend you will be given the opportunity to make an anonymous donation, sharing in the cost and support of MarriageRestored. However, no one is ever refused the opportunity to attend a MarriageRestored weekend because of lack of funds.
