MarriageRestored Is…

MarriageRestored is a weekend event for couples in crisis or who have recently experienced crisis in their marriage. MarriageRestored is for couples whose relationship needs an overhaul, not a tune-up.

From Friday evening at 7 pm to 1 pm on Sunday afternoon, you and your spouse will hear unique presentations and privately work through MarriageRestored’s practical approach to the challenges that are threatening your marriage.

We don’t call a MarriageRestored weekend a “marriage retreat”, “couples retreat”, or any kind of “retreat”. It is going to be work. We are going to be charging forward, communicating in new and wonderful ways. You will likely leave your MarriageRestored weekend emotionally drained but feeling so much better about the future of your marriage.

Before the Weekend

We talk with every registered couple before the weekend and we hear a lot of common themes:

• We need help to save our failing marriage.
• We need a couples retreat or a marriage retreat that understands how hurt we are.
• We aren’t stupid but we need a marriage workshop to give us the tools to make our marriage work.
• I don’t know if I can trust him again.
• I don’t know if I can trust her again.
• We need help to save our broken marriage.
• Our marriage is a disaster, and we don’t know how to fix it.
• We have lost our ability to communicate.
• We really want to avoid divorce and make our marriage happy again.
• How will I ever be able to forgive him/her?

The Problem with Marriage

Marriage is hard. The problem with marriage is that we are never properly trained to be married. We usually learn about marriage when we are children, from what we see in other adults or on TV and that isn’t always good. During your MarriageRestored weekend, you will gain a much better understanding of marriage and find that same love you found when you were first married. You will understand the challenges of being a couple and how to overcome those challenges. Marriage takes work, but it is so worth it.

Conflict or Crisis

Specially-trained MarriageRestored couples will guide you through crisis topics with talks inspired by their personal challenges–challenges that may include separation, adultery, addiction, pornography, gambling, financial deception and other life-controlling issues. Each presenting couple, handpicked and trained by MarriageRestored, has experienced the types of crisis that take a marriage to the breaking point and they have made their way back with the help of MarriageRestored.

Private

Almost every MarriageRestored session ends with time to talk privately in your own hotel room. Each weekend is private and confidential; each couple is given the space and time to work through their own challenges. MarriageRestored believes that your story is your own – it’s private. You’ll never be asked to share details publicly.

A Practical Approach

Throughout the MarriageRestored weekend, you’ll learn the practical approach that has helped countless couples effectively and productively tackle challenges in their marriages. You will leave the weekend with the necessary tools to keep the lines of communication open while you work to further strengthen and renew your relationship.

At MarriageRestored, we won’t attempt to list and solve each problem that you may be facing; we will give you the tools to help you face these problems. MarriageRestored will give you the time, the privacy, the atmosphere, and the tools–what happens next is uniquely you.

MarriageRestored is about hope, love, and relationships renewed, about being vulnerable without fear of judgment.

MarriageRestored is a sister ministry of the Assemblies of God Expression of Marriage Encounter. As an Assemblies of God organization, AG MarriageRestored adheres to the fellowship’s standing rooted in Biblical doctrine that marriage is between one man and one woman (Genesis 2, Matthew 19).
